GOALS & STORYBOARD
Crafting a narrative for the visualization with the following points:

Biodiversity Loss: Coral reefs are valuable environments for marine diversity. We wanted to show the impact of bleaching on this metric

Reef Health: We wanted to offer users a way to see overall reef health and how this changes over time
-
Climate Impact: Viewers should walk away understanding a connection between increasing temperature and bleaching
The aquarium represents an engaging way for users to generate graphs regarding species diversity loss for each reef
The dynamic map not only shows coral reef health across the years, but allows for temperature trend charts to be generated and compared for any reefs across any years

CHALLENGES
While creating the fish animations was a lot of fun, we had to consistently go back to the narrative we had constructed and remind ourselves to not gamify the site too much
